7th Annual Golf Tournament held on Friday, April 11th at River Bend Golf Club. Winners were:
  • 1st place: Playground Safety Services, Inc.
  • 2nd place: Karen Bradley Day Care Home
  • 3rd place: Electric Motor Service

Annual Provider Banquet held on Thursday, May 15th at Cleveland Community College. Congratulations to Two by Two Early Childhood Development Center, Inc., directed by Angela Doherty, and Munchkin Land, directed by Sherry Beason as 2008 Providers of the Year.

Child Care Connections is a child care resource and referral service. It is a non-profit community-based organization funded in part by Smart Start through the Cleveland County Partnership for Children. Our mission is to bridge resources and services for the sake of excellence in the child care environment in Cleveland County. We accomplish this mission by linking families, child care providers, and businesses through referral, information, education, and advocacy.

 Your ALT-Text here Child Care Connections supports quality child care environments through a vast array of services to a broad spectrum of consumers.  It could be a family seeking a reliable child care source; a child care provider in need of information or technical assistance on services such as Quality Enhancement, Family Child Care Homes, School Age Children, and Child Care Centers, or an employer seeking help with work and family issues.

Child Care Connections offers to every member of the community a wonderful Early Learning Resource Library.  For a small annual fee, anyone can join the library.  Memberships offer families, teachers, and caregivers of children access to check out numerous resource curriculum books; children’s books, cassettes, CD’s, and videos: themed activity kits; and developmentally appropriate toys and equipment, including a binding machine, a die cut machine, a laminator, and a copier.  Each Early Learning Resource Library member is entitled to attend free workshops sponsored by Child Care Connections and a copy of the newsletter, “The Quarterly Bridge”Each newsletter has a variety of age appropriate activity ideas and tips for working with young children.  It also includes a copy of the quarterly training calendar and newsworthy items of interest for providers and parents.
