Care Connections is a child care resource and referral
service. It is a non-profit community-based organization
funded in part by Smart Start through the Cleveland
County Partnership for Children. Our mission is to
bridge resources and services for the sake of excellence
in the child care environment in Cleveland County. We
accomplish this mission by linking families, child care
providers, and businesses through referral, information,
education, and advocacy. |

Child Care Connections supports quality child care
environments through a vast array of services to a broad spectrum of
consumers. It could be a family seeking a reliable
child care source; a child care provider in need of
information or technical assistance on services such as Quality
Enhancement, Family Child Care Homes, School Age Children, and
Child Care Centers, or an employer
seeking help with work and family issues.
Child Care Connections offers to every member of
the community a wonderful Early Learning Resource Library.
For a small annual fee, anyone can join the library. Memberships
offer families, teachers, and caregivers of children access to check
out numerous resource curriculum books; children’s books, cassettes,
CD’s, and videos: themed activity kits; and developmentally
appropriate toys and equipment, including a binding machine, a die
cut machine, a laminator, and a copier. Each
Early Learning
Resource Library member is entitled to attend free workshops
sponsored by Child Care Connections and a copy of the newsletter,
“The Quarterly Bridge”. Each newsletter has a variety of
age appropriate activity ideas and tips for working with young
children. It also includes a copy of the quarterly training
calendar and newsworthy items of interest for providers and parents.
